How do you get them onto photoshop and where do you save it to ????!!!!

  4. Chazz: Over in my sidebar, you’ll notice a link to “Installing Patterns” (also for brushes and shapes). That’s what you want to click to view a tutorial on how to install them. :)

    Or, here you go: http://www.obsidiandawn.com/installing-photoshop-patterns-tutorial

  5. fraser

i use photoplus is there a section for that or do i have to go to another site????

  6. Fraser: I have some stuff that you could use with PhotoPlus, but this site is mostly Photoshop & GIMP right now.

I don’t know anything about Photo Plus, but you could still download the image packs for the brush and patterns sets, and use those somehow.

  7. I always stalked and loved your resources. Keep up the good work!

do these work with Photoshop CS4? I’ve had a couple of issues importing some brushes from your sets into CS4 but wondered about if i’d get the same result with these patterns before i download them….

  16. @simi: You shouldn’t be having issues at all. I use them in my CS4 all the time. If you’re having issues, then possibly some of the downloads are becoming corrupted as they’re being downloaded. That’s about all I can think of, if you’re unzipping them and otherwise doing what you should with them.

So nope, the patterns should work, too!

Let me know if you have any more trouble, and exactly what’s happening and I can see if I can help!

  21. scooterbug

T_T i cant use it for some reason gimp wont read it

  22. @scooterbug: Yes, GIMP patterns and Photoshop patterns are different. These are Photoshop patterns. You’ll have to grab the image pack and make them into GIMP patterns manually, I’m afraid.

    Sorry!

  23. Billie

  24. cawoong

    wow! good patterns

  25. Tiffany

These are really pretty. Do you by chance know a way i can change the colors of them?

  26. @Tiffany: You could try applying them to a layer using a layer style, and then changing the way that layer style “interacts” with the layer by choosing “Luminosity” or “Color Dodge” or somesuch.

That will kind of change the whole color of the thing, though. If you want to just change one of the colors, you could apply them to the layer, make a new layer beneath that one and then merge it down onto it (removing the layer style), then choose Image > Adjustments > Replace Color. Use the eyedropper to find the color you want to change, then move the sliders at the bottom to change it. (The slider on the top judges how much color is also changing, similar to that color you’re changing.) Hopefully that makes sense, it’s hard to describe without images and examples. :)

Your animal print patterns are unique and interesting. I downloaded them yesterday, love them, thanks for sharing.

Though I have a question…as I went back to look them over I noticed at the beginning of the pack there was one that looked different, I clicked it and lo and behold it was one of my photos kept in file and is in a large PSD format. How this happened I have no idea, if you have any answers on how this occurred and how I can do it again I would love to hear it.
    Thanks

  31. Hey I’m new here :)
