You probably already know this, but today I recieved my copy of Terry Goodkind’s ‘The Omen Machine’ and there on the front cover were some of these brushes… they look awesome!! :)

It is mentioned here. It’s a button right next to the download button. That should help – although I’m not a GIMP user, and what you read on that page is all I know about installing them. An internet search for using Photoshop brushes in GIMP, should you need it, will give you plenty to work with. :)

If it’s an ABR file, then your browser already unzipped it when it downloaded. As far as help with GIMP goes, I’m sorry – I don’t use GIMP. I make these to be Photoshop files, but they also work in GIMP, so I advertise them as such. But I can’t provide any support for GIMP, I’m afraid. There’s tons of stuff out there on the internet for how to use Photoshop (ABR) brush files in GIMP, though. Good luck!

Hi Steph, I read how to unzip the files and extract them but my computer still wont open them cause of the Abr somthing files??? And it still wont open in gimp I even set it to the brushes… Please help :)

Hey Stephanie,

I keep seeing these brushes around the web, mostly on dA and I must admit I totally hate it when people use them in their works and say “brushes from a site I don’t remember” “random brushes I had lying around” etc. I TOTALLY HATE IT. I mean, these brushes are absolutely marvellous, and surely rememberable.

(btw, your brushes are so high quality and so perfectly made, that I can distinguish one of your brushes at a glance! =) oh and from the SS- prefix :P)

Yep. As you’ll see in my help files, Photoshop CS will be able to use them just fine. All versions of Photoshop that came out after 7 can use them, including the entire CS series.

Click on “Installing Brushes” in my sidebar if you need help.

i have tryed to download the brushes but i’m not sure if i have the right program on my computer, i have Adobe Photoshop CS, does it work on that?
