I. Conditions and procedures for the submission of entries
1. Conditions of entry
1.1 – The contest is MUST clearly contain the usage of one (or both) of the following Obsidian Dawn resources:
1.2 – Entry to the contest is free of charge.
1.3 – All entrants must be over 18 years of age.
1.4 – Entrants may submit their entry in the following file formats:
- JPG
- JPEG
- GIF
- PNG
Submissions are not date-restricted (they may have been created at any time).
1.5 – Images may not contain content that Obsidian Dawn deems, at its sole discretion, to be obscene, provocative, defamatory, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable or inappropriate.
1.6 – The entrant declares and Obsidian Dawn recognizes that he/she is the copyright holder of the material submitted. By entering this Obsidian Dawn contest, the entrant gives permission to Obsidian Dawn to use and display the material submitted to the contest in on the Obsidian Dawn website (http://www.obsidiandawn.com). Obsidian Dawn hereby reserves the non-exclusive right to publish the entries of winners and of other nominees on the Obsidian Dawn website without any remuneration being due to the entrant. Obsidian Dawn will ensure due recognition and acknowledgement to the entrant. The entrant declares that to the best of his/her knowledge no third party can claim any rights on the material submitted. The entrant also confirms that each person depicted in the image(s) has granted permission to be portrayed as shown.
1.7 – If the entry contains resources created by a source other than Obsidian Dawn, and those sources require credit for the resources, please submit that information along with the entry and it will be displayed along with the image.
1.8 – The terms set out above are binding.
2. Specifications for entries
2.1 – All files must meet the following requirements:
- JPEG (.jpg), GIF, or PNG format
- 100 KB or less in size
- Dimensions are not restricted
2.2 – Manipulated photographs, original artwork and design, photographs of products of a more physical nature (tattoos, decals, products), etc. are ALL accepted.
2.3 – By entering the contest, the participant represents, acknowledges and warrants that the submitted image is an original work created solely by the participant, that the image does not infringe on the copyrights, trademarks, moral rights, rights of privacy/publicity or intellectual property rights of any person or entity, and that no other party has any right, title, claim or interest in the photograph. If the entry contains resources created by a source other than Obsidian Dawn, and those sources require credit for the resources, please submit that information along with the entry and it will be displayed along with the image.
3. Submission of entries
3.1 – All entries must be submitted and received by April 12th at 11:59pm (CT). Proof of submission is not proof of receipt. Entries submitted after April 12th at 11:59pm (CT) will not be eligible for consideration.
3.2 – The digital files of the entries may be uploaded directly via Obsidian Dawn’s online contest submissions form. If the form is not working for you, please contact us with your submission.
