please help lol I downloaded lashes on my cs6 and there on there but when I goto apply it on her upper lid it prints out 5 tan lashes all over her fave . how do I get it to only make one print of lashes??

Alright. Well, I’m going to guess that you’re trying to somehow paint those lashes on there, and that’s what’s creating the effect of several. You don’t want to do that. Just click once, and it will “stamp” the eyelash shape. Also, make sure you have a color close to black selected, instead of tan.

If that wasn’t the problem, hit F5 to bring up your brushes window and make sure there’s no check marks next to any of those options (especially Scattering > Count should be set to 1).

I’m guessing it’s that first option, though. Make sure you’re only clicking once, and there should only be one set of lashes.

Best bet? Check the links above in the “Recommended for you” section and click on the “Eyelashes/Shadow Tutorial” link. That’s a YouTube video that explains how to use these. :)

When I download and extract the file so that I can get to the brushes it says file type unknown. How do I fix that?

Click on the “How to Install?” button right next to the download button. It’ll explain it all. :)

hi there, i only get 2 brushes when i download. is this normal?

    • http://www.obsidiandawn.com/ Stephanie

Nope. There should be 34 brushes total with this brush set. I just downloaded it and checked to be sure that the file is still good, and it is. So there’s probably something happening on your end in the extraction process. Are you extracting the zip file using some sort of special software? Those can sometimes cause issues. Just use whatever came with your operating system to unzip the file, is usually my suggestion. You could also try re-downloading. But they’re definitely there!

Sorry, wish I could help more, but when it comes to operating system issues, that’s where it’s harder to help from afar.

Let me know if you have any further issues, and perhaps I could figure out a way to get the abr file directly to you, without compressing the file. That can be hard, though, because it’s gonna be a huge file.

Check out my tutorials section for how to install the brushes and how to unzip a file, those may help, too!

      Good luck!

Hi there, I didn’t have any problems for dowload and install them.
But when I’m in photoshop, I choose one of them and when I click nothing appears. Do you know what I have do wrong or what can I do for get them work? I use Photoshop CS5.

    • http://www.obsidiandawn.com/ Stephanie

They’re very large. Is there a chance that they’re larger than the canvas that you have open? If that’s the case, you may not see the outline.

Other than that, I cannot think of a reason why they wouldn’t appear. If they’re loaded and you can see/choose them, they should be usable.

      • Gaëlle Cannata

This is not the reason…Bah i’m just unlucky i think x)

They definitely work, so if they aren’t working for you, it’s either happening in the download, the extraction of the file, or the installation (I have a tutorial to explain how to install them). So I’d go through my tutorial if you’re not terribly familiar with installing new brushes. Then re-download, and make sure the extraction isn’t one of those fancy programs… Just your operating system should be able to extract the zip file, and that’s what I’d suggest using. Hope this helps!
