@Kailey: I’m not sure about Elements and how to do it. However, I DO know you CAN do it. You’d be best off to search for “layer style photoshop elements” and see what you come up with. It may be called something else, even – in fact, if I remember right, it is – but doing that search should still net you some results.

so how would one add a layer style in photoshop elements? Are you able to in elements? Because I can’t find the button anywhere :S

@dcsscd: I don’t think it’ll work with Illustrator, nope. I don’t believe Illustrator can use patterns, or at least not PAT (Photoshop) patterns. However, there are ways to “import” the pattern, once placed, into Illustrator… I’m just not all that familiar with them, as I don’t use patterns much. Also, you could download the image pack, and use those – they’re just the JPGs I used to make the patterns, and – when placed together – will still be seamless.

They weren’t really made for Illustrator, though, nope.

does this pack work with illustrator cs2 and how do i “install” it?
I copy the file PAT file to the folder of swatches/patterns in illustrator but i cant find them in the program.

@Wondering: You can use them for layer styles, yep. They’re not the same thing as “Photoshop Styles”, though – these are patterns, which you can apply to all kinds of things – much like you would a style. Hope that helps!
