Frost Brushes

Brushes: 26

Photoshop 7, CS-CS6, CC
Photoshop Elements 2+
GIMP 2.2.6+

Description: Various winter frosty shapes, in different types — icy and frosty frames, single frost shapes (the standard feathery shape), some in the shape of lines, swirly frost shapes, and basic pre-made frost textures. Also included are lots of brushes made to paint the frost yourself. Each stroke of the brush scatters frost about (or puts it in a line, depending on the brush).

I am making a fire-ice picture and these will be great in it :)
(Ofcourse it is not a published picture, only for my own desktop, so I won’t se it without permission :)

  • Kohitsuji

These brushes look lovely, and I’ve been looking forward to starting a piece that would be made much easier with the help of these.
However, when I click to download the brushes, it says the ID does not exist. :( Please help if you can.

  • Stephanie

@Kohitsuji: Working again now – sorry for the inconvenience!

  • UCantBeSerious

Hello, how are you? Question. Do you by any chance have gift tag labels or alphas? The kind where I can write on it to have the appearance that its a realistic sales tag, label, etc? Thanx in advance for any response…*wink*

    • Stephanie

I don’t have any, I’m afraid, nope. I may make a “tag” set of shapes or whatnot at some point – it’s on my list.. but I haven’t yet, sorry!

Best of luck finding one, though!

  • bluebellesmom

Thanks for the brushes. This one looks so light and airy!

  • Kenzie

Your brushes won’t work in GIMP. I have 2.6, and they’re in .abr from the download.

    • Stephanie

I assure you, they DO work in GIMP. All versions of GIMP from 2.4 and onward have the capability to use ABR files. As you can see from this quote from this page on GIMP’s website (
