Other than what I wrote in my tutorial (“Installing Brushes” in my sidebar), I know nothing at all about GIMP. Sorry. Photoshop I could help you, but not GIMP. You may want to look through the comments on that page, though – lots of users have written tips.

i redownloaded it and it didnt say it was damage. i saw a how to install gimp brushes same thing but it didnt show the brushes for me. HELP MEE!!!

If I did anything to the ones in the preview image, all that I would have done would be to use the brushes on their own layer and add an “outer glow” to that layer. I’m not sure if I even did that, though – it could just be a difference in background colors that makes them look differently.

Sorry, been a while since I made these, can’t remember for sure what I may have done! But try the outer glow. :)

Thank you for these brushes! They’re amazing. I have just one question. I can’t seem to make my brushes shine like the ones in the preview image. Is there a certain color for that, or any way I fix that? Thank you!

I have a tutorial on advanced brush techniques, which can be found in my tutorials section. It explains a lot of the techniques that I used in this brush set to make them scatter about like they do (the painting type brushes, at least). That should help you figure out how to tweak them and use them to fit best what you’re trying to do. :)

For Gimp Users: If you don’t know how to use these brushes with GIMP just download the brushes, Copy the brush you just downloaded, go to the GIMP folder in your files, then paste in “Paint Brushes” It may have a different name but I should at least say “Brushes”. Then you can go to GIMP and find them in the “Brush” section of the program. Hope this helps! (:
