Left click on the file, and there should be an option in the list that pops up that says “Extract All”. Click on it, choose a folder or directory to extract it to, and hit ok. Then place all the extracted files into the appropriate place. You don’t need to download any special extraction tool like WinZip or 7-Zip.

You need 7-ZIP File Manager. It is totally free. Type the name in your search engine to get to the website, then download it. Great program.

If you have the newest version of GIMP, then these should definitely work for you. You’re not just trying to click on the file after downloading it, are you? You need to put it in a specific directory to install it. I have instructions on installation in a link in my sidebar.

I’m afraid I’m not a GIMP user, so those instructions are the only help I can offer. Beyond that, your best bet is to do a search for installing ABR files into GIMP. There should be lots out there.
