Grungy & Dirty Photoshop & GIMP Brushes

A set of Photoshop & GIMP brushes composed of various grungy and dirty textures. These are all seamless, if you were to overlap them over and over. However, these work better for a single coverage of an area, or to help grunge up a photo, etc.

Grungy & Dirty Brushes

These are also available as Grungy & Dirty Photoshop Patterns, which are completely seamless and in color. They will work much better for covering large areas, where you need the texture to tile.

Programs: Photoshop 7+, Photoshop Elements 2+, Gimp 2.2.6+
Brushes: 27
Size: 37.1MB

downloaded your brushes to see what they were like, I,m new to mac-photoshop-wocam, and didn’t
really see a way to use them, so I deleted them the next day. Now my pse-8 brushes are really
messed up. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled, but no change. The brushes now vary from extremely
small detail to extra large detail, no in between. I’m a portrait artist and really need to control my
brush sizes….can you help me out please?

    It would be appreciated,
    JEFF

  13. @jeff: I have no idea what you could have done, I’m sorry! Installing my brushes is as easy as it says in my tutorial (which is highlighted in bold in my sidebar). Download, unzip, put in the right folder, restart Photoshop, and voila!

There isn’t a way that my brushes could have done something to your other brushes – it sounds like a setting somewhere got mixed up… perhaps when it couldn’t find the original brushes, if you accidentally deleted those, too? If you’re re-installing, try doing it to a new, fresh directory? I’m not sure what to tell you other than that. :( I’m not even sure I’ve ever heard of what you’re describing, that sounds like an odd one!

Good luck, and sorry I couldn’t help more!

  14. Your work has been such an inspiration to me. So I’ll say it again, thank you!

  15. Thank you again. I love these brushes!

How long does it take to download these brushes? I have a brand new computer and high speed connection. I’ve started them over twice because I thought the download was hung up. It’s been downloading for over an hour now!

  18. @Dianne: There may have been a temporary problem with the server that hosts my files. It seems to be working now, try again? Let me know if it’s still hanging up for you!
