Thank you so much for all these stunning brushes you offer for free. Although I am not using Photoshop but PSP I think I should manage with the image packs which contains the .jpegs. I was looking all over for nice laces and stitches for embroidery/needlework effect and find both here! I have put your site in my favorites for future reference! Laura

You will need to click on the brushes window, then “Brush Tip Shape” (or whatever it says above “Shape Dynamics” in your Photoshop version – I think they changed the wording of this at some point). Then, down at the bottom of the window, move the slider for Spacing over to the right. You’ll have to mess around with it a bit to get them to space just right, but that should work.

Otherwise, your best bet is to click just once on a new layer to create the brush, duplicate that layer, and then use the Shift bar and the move tool to move it directly horizontally until it spaces right.

If you’re going to be using a bunch of them to fill up an area, you may want to check out my lace PATTERNS, which are the same designs, but made into patterns. So they’ll automatically fill in whatever space you need, tiled and without any gaps.

I love your brushes – thank you so much! Just a quick question – when i tried to use the lace brush to draw a straight line using the SHIFT button, the lace pattern ended up overlapping instead of each pattern being clear and separated. Is there some way to “spread out” the brush so that they don’t over lap?

Well, that’s an odd one. Do you mean Photoshop Elements 8, or Photoshop 8 (which is Photoshop CS)? It should be compatible with both, not sure why it wouldn’t work. You’re downloading the PAT file, right? Not the image pack?

If so, and it’s telling you that it’s not compatible, try redownloading to make sure there wasn’t a corruption during the download. If that doesn’t work, your best bet is to grab the image pack and make them into patterns yourself.

Just got the Lace texture downloaded and it said my version PS8 is not compatible!Not sure! I have already downloaded lashes before with no problem. Any suggestions? Thanks Kim
