Well, as my terms of use states, you can use my brushes for free, but if you do you need to credit me for them. On guitars, that doesn't really work out, so that's precisely what I sell licenses for. :) They're only $3 per set, and give you the right to use all the brushes in that set without needing to credit me at all. omg yer brushes are amazing! i just got Photoshop CS5 and been using Gimp 4.0. i just loaded the lightning into Gimp to play with it real quick. omg! how cool! awesome effects for the electric guitars i design. how do you get paid for all this great work? i mean i went hunting for free brushes for CS5 and found yers but what do you get in return for this awesome work? thank you SO much.

@Rakesh Sahoo: I’m sorry, I’m not sure what you mean by load this in PSD. You want to load the file as a PSD format? Or are you naming a graphics program?

The brush file is compatible with everything that I list above. Photoshop 7+, GIMP 2.2.5+, and Photoshop Elements 2+.

If you want to use them in another program, then download the image pack file, which are just the JPGs I used to make the brushes. You can use them to make into brushes in your favorite program.

@Taryn: I put them on their own layer, and then added a layer style of “Outer Glow” to that layer, using a strong, violet color as the glow.
