Sorry, as it says at the end of those instructions, I am not a GIMP user, so I cannot provide help beyond what I’ve written there.

However, do an internet search for “using photoshop ABR files in GIMP” or something like that, and you’ll find a TON of information on it.

Also, make sure your GIMP version is 2.2.6 or newer – older versions of GIMP don’t have the ability to use these ABR files (which are made in Photoshop as Photoshop brush files, but GIMP added the functionality to use them).

It looks really cool, but i followed all the installing instructions, and when i tried to open it on GIMP it said it was an unknown file type. Any suggestions on what i can do???

Well, you don’t open them like you would a usual file that you download. You put them in the right directory, and then they’ll just show up in the list of brushes. I have a tutorial that explains it all in my sidebar. Click on “Installing Brushes” and let me know if you have any further trouble. :)
