@xTekkerz: If it's not showing up in the color that you selected, then your file type may not be in RGB mode? Also, you're sure you're using the brush tool? Right click on it and make sure it says it's the brush tool and not something else. Other than that, there's nothing I can think of that would cause that given the steps given by this tutorial.

Good luck!

Well cool tutorial, but when I use my brushes and I have my colour selected, it doesn't show up in the colour I wanted only white, and I'm planning on having a design with a different colour then white brush????

Well, I wasn't trying to infer that this would work with everything easily. :) Although I've yet to find a brush that I couldn't make look realistic using this strategy - I just have to do a lot of painting myself. It's not very realistic for people that don't want to do that. Just an option. This is why I don't really make image-based brushes anymore, though... it's usually just not worth it.

Thanks!

Great tutorial but how about a high detailed transparent grass brush for instance? It is not that easy.

Oh my goodness, thank you. Just YESTERDAY i was wondering how to fix that without clicking a million times with the brush--which will make the transparency (as well as much of the detail!) disappear! I ended up trying to add fabric or other overlays then using blending options, which works to a degree, but doesn't do what THIS does! I'm gonna have to study with my hands in photoshop with this one.

Thanks so much for the tutorials. Guess what I'M doing on vacation, LOL.
