Snow and Snowflake brushes, every time I try to download these brushes it gets to about 10% and then I get an error saying the source file cannot be read. Is it something I am doing wrong or is there a problem somewhere.
Hi Stephanie Just a quick question – your image files are always in jpeg format. I wonder why you don’t do them in png format which would make them more useable. Just curious. Thanks for all your excellent brushes and shapes. You do awesome work and are very generous in sharing it. Love and hugs Carena
Anything that will coordinate with military layouts for the Afghanistan and Iraq conflicts. There appears to be little available online that I have found so far.
Carena: I do them in JPG format because they are not made to be used like a transparent PNG. They’re made to be made into brushes. And every program out there that I know of requires brushes to have a white background (where the “transparent” part of the brush is).
However, I certainly recognize the need for transparent PNG types of things, and that’s one reason why I’ve begun branching out into other areas – you’ll see a good deal of my brushes being made into transparent PNG images over the next year or so. So, they should then be usable by just about anybody.
In the meantime, you’d need to grab yourself a copy of photoshop or GIMP and make them into brushes to get the transparency.
Sorry for the inconvenience, but originally I was ONLY doing brush stuff – that’s why they’re made that way. :)
The rest of you, I’ve answered succesfully via email. Thanks everyone!
I love all the wonderful brushes, I thank you for all your hard work! One thing I and I am sure a lot of others can use is a series of nose brushes. Female preferred in my case. Keep doing all you do, It is greatly appreciated!
I’d love to see some Christmas brushes. I run a mommy website so Christmas trees, presents, snowflakes, maybe ornaments for the tree, and a star topper too. That would be pretty cool huh? Bet that would be a big hit. A Build your own tree brush set lol. I’d like to see another baby set. I love the handprints, I used them on my pro-life graphics. Maybe a set with toddler items like little training pants, potties, sippy cups, crayons, toy cars, dolls ect. Maybe buttons, brads, bows ect for the scrapbookers. That would be so so so helpful. I’d also love to be an affiliate but I’m guessing that won’t happen. lol. It’s okay. I think I’ve brainstormed enough for now. That’s for everything! I really love your brushes!
I’ve thought of one more. I do a lot of free work for mothers who have lost children. I’d really really really love to see a brush pack of different positioned angel wings. and maybe some halos too. It would really mean a lot to me and it would be so helpful when I am things. Some of these ladies don’t have maybe photos of their angels and they are in the most different positions to put wings on. Thanks again
I was using photoshop in college (i have photoshop elements) and I used the patch tool and I loved it and I really need it for my computer is there anyway to add this tool to photoshop elements?
Hi you generous artist!
A big, fat, happy Thank You from over here, too.
Your brushes are outstanding.
As you´re inviting requests – well, I´m always greedy for birthmarks, freckles, injuries, scars, bruises, skin blemish of whatever kind – just anything to make human skin unique.

Hello Steph…I was able to reach you through Deviantart. Thanks for sharing your talent to the whole world. I am really learning a lot because of your tutorials. I am an aspiring manga creator – are you familiar with Japanese comics? Well, I’m trying to use your patterns and brushes to create backgrounds and add spice to my panels… However, I don’t really know how manga artists place callouts or conversation balloons on Comics… Do they draw this manually, or are they using brushes? Can you make Callout shapes or brushes? Thank you very much…!
Hey Steph, I love your work, it makes mine lots of fun. Do you have any with money, dollar bills and coins? Not that you don’t have enough to do.Thank you for everything you do!
I have a brush for you. i don’t know if i can explain, but you know when you open old photo albums the tape is yellow and chipped, there are mark all around it, weird colors come out and like the edges curl. Can you make me something like that, but with no pictures…. i hope i explained it okay!
I am looking for the alphabet…May sound silly but I would love to “stamp” my initials on the photos I have under copyright Instead of having to write the name of my business all the time. I am new at photoshop, and this is probably something that I could do but I am unsure how. I’m sure others could find use for the alphabet as well…..Thanks for all the hard work, the brushes are amazing!!
Your brushes are the most amazing anywhere. I love them. I have a questions about the ‘using multiple colors’ tutorial; is there a way to do the same thing with Photoshop Elements. I don’t have the color blending mode. Thank you for your help
I am just starting to try these and am struggling. I am trying to make the frame fix a 4 x 6 image, but when I apply the frame layer I can’t get the frame aka brush to stay put. it continues to move with my mouse. What am I doing wrong?
Hey, if you have time (I can imagine you’re busy) could you make some realistic looking flower brushes? I’ve had a hard time finding any that would work with GIMP. Thank you!
I love your work! It’s beautiful. I have always looked for some really great animal silhouettes. Maybe something in between realistic and fanciful. Not too babyish with really clean lines. Wild animals especially like elephants, giraffes, alligators. Thanks!
I would love to see some ornament/divider brushes. You have some in one of the “swirls” packs, but I think more a bunch more would be awesome. Clean and “messy” edges!
Hi Stephanie,
I have tried downloading the brushes onto my mac. When I open the folders they are jpegs.
How to I change them so they will work in my brush presets?
Many thanks,
Jane
Hi Stephanie,
I’m a new member and am curious…do you still offer CDs of your brush sets and do you sell them with licenses? The page offering these details states that CDs are currently not available until Feb 2009??? I am really looking forward to using these with my work!
Thanks for your response,
Tracy
hi darling., thank god u r fine… i missed u a lot… howz ur hubby? long time i havn’t seen u in my inbox… tell u what, make a stained glass brush set… its not available newhr… its going to go round like hot cakes…
Hi Stephanie, thanks for the brushes, it really inspired me. I now know how to make all those wonderful graphics I have seen. I have made a link to your website and was wondering whether you could make a page that links back to sites that have used your brushes. Thanks again!
Hi Stephanie! I was wondering if you could make brushes that simulate wrinkles shading in fabric as it would be worn on a person. It would be so helpful. Thank you so much for all your hard work. Your brushes are amazing!
First, I want to say that I love your work–and the fact that you make it so easily accessible! Thank you! :)
Now, I have a request (and I know probably I’m the only one in the world who wants it) but do you think it is possible/likely that you might ever do a bunch of different kinds of speech bubbles/thought bubbles/ etc? I’ve tried making my own in photoshop but they always come out crummy (see example here: http://corsetkitten.com/qc8/E2/1-2.jpg ) and it would be awfully useful for me… Like I said though, I know its a far fetched request… But I can hope anyway!
first of all: Many many thanks for your great work. It is fantastic and I wish I was as gifted as you are.
I was wondering if you could do a tutorial on “How to make seamless patterns in PS 7″. I have been searching, but could not find any tutorial. All I found was about textures (stones and such) but i could not use this technique for floral pattern for example.
I really could do with a helping hand.
Many thanks again for this awsome website and the brushes and tutorial.
Simply love them!
I’m a big fan of your gimp brushes and right now a friend and I are working on a new site but can’t find the brushes we need for a background. The website is based on the book series “Night World” by L. J. Smith. For the background we need a set of brushes that has an iris, rose, delilah and foxglove. Neither of us really has the skill to make the brushes so, if it’s at all possible to get a brush set for it, that would be amazing. On DeviantArt my username is xxSecretxx and I use your gimp brushes a lot so I know they’re good quality. If its possible to get the brushes we would be really really grateful.
Hi Stephanie – I love your swirls but now I’m looking for something different. I’m looking for a brush I can use with a logo for a group of women who give awards to people in the neighborhood who wipe-out graffiti and who contribute to neighborhood beautification. Any ideas that would be contemporary would be great.
I have been looking for some time for a diverse set of simple vector arrows that can be manipulated. I am looking for straight and curved arrows wither in 2D or 3D or that can be manipulated to appear as 3D (forward to back).
A set such as this would be a gift from the heavens.
Thank you again for making all of these amazingly helpful brushes in the first place!
Since you are kind enough to consider requests, what I would love to see are brushes mimicking various prints found on Japanese kimono – heck, I can supply many, many reference scans of them, but it’s something I would love to be able to use in my own colors, and to create my own patterns! Just a thought :D
I know you todo list is probably a mile long but another brush I could really use would be wedding brushes: with rings, bells, bubbles, etc. I always look forward to new brushes, thanks for all you do!
hey! i was wondering if you knew anything about maybe a strained brush photoshop brush, kinda like the old ones the Japanese used in their calligraphy, how it would be darker and lighter in some places, the brush bristles would move causing it not to write in some places, i wish i had an example of it but i don’t off the top of my head. i really like the look of it and i was wondering if you could ether make one or possibly send a link to one. thank you
Could you, or anyone else, tell me where exactly I can find a film strip download that will allow me to put my “old style” b/w portraits into. I am trying to make some of my latest digital portraits look as though they were shot on film.
I was wondering if you could make me a personal set of brushes for use on my website. (Which is currently still being worked on.)
I really liked your Arcane Brushes and Circles and that’s what drove me to ask this.
I was wondering if you could contact me by my e-mail with information if you require payment for this.
I want to purchase a commercial license for your arcane circle Photoshop brushes. I have already downloaded them but now I would like to pay for the license after being very pleased with them.
dying to get my hands on some fabric wrinkle brushes….that simulate the lines, folds, creases and natural fall of fabric when worn :-) Loooove ur creations…from a photoshop fanatic keep it up! xo
