A set of Photoshop & GIMP brushes composed of various ropes and chains. This includes several cords (like for trims on fabric) and jewelry chains, as well as the rugged ropes and chains that you’d find in your local hardware store! They can all be “linked” together, and should be seamless if done properly.
Most of these are extremely high res (2500 pixels high/wide) and very detailed!

I love this set, but I think that you could perhaps add some cuffs? Like an ankle cuff or something, so that it could be used as if something was chained to something else… :] That would be pretty cool.

I was messing around with brushes, practicing with them and stuff, and my friend Matt comes along and I’m useing the chain brush.

I really like the brushes, but have limited knowledge of how to use them… How do I make them link up and follow a smooth curve? Please help!

It’s kind of tricky to do. The best way that I’ve been able to find to do it is to use each brush on its own layer. Then, zoom in really close where the two chains are supposed to intersect and move one of the brushes around (that’s why it’s on its own layer, so you can move the two independently) using the keys on your keyboard until they line up just right.

It works in GIMP. Update your GIMP version (it’s free), and these will work.
