Yep, it is. Gimp 2.2.6 or newer version can open these. I explain how to do it in my “Installing Brushes” link in the sidebar. And make sure you have the right version of GIMP… the earlier versions will NOT use ABR files.

Hi, I love these brushes, though I was wondering if I could open these with gimp? as it says gimp is one of the programs that can be used to open.
I can’t open the ABR file.

@sandra: Hmm, I just downloaded them and got the file folder with the ABR file in them. Are you sure you clicked on “Download the Brushes” and not the images one? Try once again and if you’re still having trouble let me know and I can email them to ya :)

the download is working but when I unzip the file, I don’t get any brushes, just a picture and a textfile!
