A set of Photoshop & GIMP patterns composed of various stonework textures. The reference photos were taken from walls, but would certainly work equally well for stonework floors. These are all entirely seamless and extremely high resolution, with most of the images averaging around 3000 pixels in width.
These are mostly made up of the gray toned stones. For the brown and tan stones, check out our Stonework II Photoshop Patterns set. If you’re interested in these as seamless JPGs (can be used in any program), check out our Stonework Stock Images.

Warning: Large download!
Programs: Photoshop 7+, Photoshop Elements 2+
Patterns: 6
Size: 93.4MB

Would this also work with Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop CS2?
I tried once to make a brick wall from scratch on Paint Shop Pro I was told it looked to grid like. The important thing is that I did try.
@Joe: These will work with Photoshop CS2, yep. I’ll be coming out with images soon that would be able to be used in PSP – the same images used to make this set.
The most important thing with making something like this is grabbing enough texture so that it isn’t just the same few tiles repeated over and over. The bigger the space “copied” into a seamless pattern like this, the better it looks. Best of luck in the future! I plan on making a tutorial to help explain it one of these days, too, btw.
I will be looking out for that definitely. I am always trying to mimic things in nature with Paint Shop Pro and sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t. It does help to have a tutorial that you can at least have for a reference point.
Thank you for the great patterns.I use pse5 andpscs3.So I can use these.I love the look of the stonework.I have never tried to make my own but someday may try.

I liked this blog thank you for sharing with us
I am a newbie and am not familiar with PAT files. I did a search and it says I should be able to open this with CS4 Photoshop but I was not able to do this…but maybe I am just not doing it correctly. Please help!
Well, that’s what the link in my sidebar for “Installing Patterns” is for. That’ll show you how to both install and use them. :)
Enjoy!
Wow!! I can’t believe you responded to this so quickly.. amazing… I clicked on the tutorial, followed your very easy, clear instructions.. I love those patterns… What can I say besides Thank You So Much!! OBSIDIAN DAWN… YOU ROCK!!! ; )
Look fantastic! Thanks you for sharing.
I can’t download this, can any one please help me? when i press download the websites go to another website which says nothing found. BTW, i downloaded everyting on this website (brushes, patterns, vectors, shapes; except this) and they’re great! Thanks dawn…you’re the BEST!!
I just downloaded them fine. Perhaps it was a temporary problem? It shouldn’t be bringing you to another website, the file is right here on my server.
Let me know if you keep having trouble!
thanks for the fast reply! I tried again but it gave me this message:
“Nuts! We can’t find what you were looking for.
We’ve recently done a lot of moving around, though. It’s still there, I promise. Just look for it. A little effort, please!
It should be easy to find again using our menus, or the search in the top right.
If you believe that this is an error on the part of the site administrator (*gasp*), please contact us.”
Thanks in advance! ;)
Alright, well, that’s still my website – it’s just my “404 Error” page. Meaning it can’t find what it’s looking for.
However, I’m still downloading them just fine in any browser I try to use, and on any computer.
I’m using a download script, though, which counts your download and then redirects it. My best guess is that you’re using some kind of download plugin that is interfering with my download script. Or some sort of odd antivirus program, perhaps.
The download definitely works, though. I’m not sure what browser you’re using, nor would I really be able to offer browser help even if I did know… it’s not my area of specialty. But the download definitely works, and is there. Your best bet is to try another browser, or disable any download plugins/extensions you might be using temporarily.
I can certainly email you the file if you can’t fix it, as well. Just let me know.
thanks again for your very fast reply!!! I’m using firefox and to tell you the truth i alread downloaded the file before, but then i accidentally deleted it and tried re downloading and the problem above occured. I tried downloading using internet explorer and guess what, it worked!!! thanks so much!!!
You’re the best!!!
