Wow. I have never seen that message, I’m sorry! I tried a quick internet search and couldn’t find a definitive answer, either. These should absolutely work in CS5, though.

Are you placing it into your Presets > Brushes folder and then reopening Photoshop, or trying to do a “Load Brushes..”? I’ve not yet tried CS5, so I’m not sure if I can help if they’ve changed a lot about how to load brushes.

Hello Obsidian!! obsessed with your swirls brushes! I used to have this swirls parts brush set in my photoshop, but then it mysterically vanished. I just downloaded it again and brought it into photoshop with this error:

“Could not place the document ‘SS-swirl-parts.abr’ because no parser or file format can open the file”

I’m running CS5 Extended.
Please help! :D

@Cassidy: I’m afraid I’m not sure how to rotate brushes in GIMP! I’ve never used it, sorry! Google “rotate brushes gimp” though and you should find plenty. :)

How do you use this to get the eyelashes smaller and rotate them in GIMP?

@Mimi: This tip will only work if you’re using Photoshop. I’m not sure it will work in Photoshop Elements, and I’m fairly sure that it won’t work (at least, not the way I describe it) in GIMP.

When you hit F5, a little window with your brushes stuff should pop up. What it looks like will depend entirely on your version of Photoshop, but in CS4 mine has a list on the left. The top one says “Brush Presets” and then under it it says “Brush Tip Shape”. If you can’t find anything that says that, try clicking on each and look over on the right for a litte, white area that has a crosshair looking thing in it. Once you find that, you can follow the rest of the tutorial. If you have Photoshop, it WILL be there under one heading or another.

I don’t have the thing u call ‘brush tip shape’. I’ve tried to click F5, but what pops out is only my list of brushes. help me ^^
