Glitter -n- Smoke Photoshop & GIMP Brushes

This set of Photoshop & GIMP brushes is composed of various dustings of glitter and smoke. Several types of glitter, several types of smoke (some cloudy, some swirly), all mixed together. I’ve also provided a few brushes of the smoke on its own, so that you can use it that way, too. (I’ll be coming out with an actual smoke brush set one of these days, but I’m still working on that.) These would work great for space scenes, as the dust looks like various space nebulae. They’d also work great for fantasy (pixie dust, magic, etc etc).

They are all extremely high resolution, with an average size of about 2200 pixels.

To get these to look like they do in my preview image, use the brush on its own layer and then apply an “outer glow” with a strong, bright color.

Glittery Swirls Photoshop & GIMP Brushes

And finally, some brushes again. Here’s a set of Photoshop & GIMP brushes composed of various glittery swirls and flourishes. If any of you remember my “Dangling Glows” set, many of the swirls are made up of similar types of glows, while others are comprised of glitter and sparkles. They are all extremely high resolution, with an average size of about 2100 pixels.

This set combines the ideas of two of our most popular sets here at Obsidian Dawn: Glitter and Swirls & Flourishes II. Hope that you enjoy!

Glitter II Photoshop & GIMP Brushes

Quick note about Obsidian Dawn’s RSS feed. I apparently failed to change an obscure setting at Feedburner and those of you that subscribed to RSS since the redesign may not be getting updates. My apologies for that! It should be working fine now. Not sure why I seem to have been cursed when it comes to the RSS and the redesign, but I suppose I should be thankful that the rest turned out fairly well!

A set of Photoshop & GIMP brushes composed of various glitter and sparkles designs. These are all high resolution, with the average size being about 1500 pixels.

This set includes “curtains” of glitter, lines and wavy lines of sparkles, various clusters of glitter and sparkles, glittery textures, several beautiful glittery swirls, a few individual glittery shapes, glitter “shooting out” from one source, and several glitter and sparkle scatter brushes (the kind that will allow YOU to paint your own glitter!), and much more!

Lightning II Photoshop & GIMP Brushes

A set of Photoshop & GIMP brushes composed of various shapes of lightning bolts. All created from scratch, original designs. These are all extremely high resolution, with the average size being about 2200 pixels.

Includes single bolts, which you could use on their own OR put together to create your own forking bolts. Also includes groupings of bolts already put together.

Fairy Wings Photoshop & GIMP Brushes

A set of Photoshop & GIMP brushes composed of various fairy wings! Some of these are different from your traditional plain ol’ fairy wing, with glowing tendrils of dots and such. High resolution, with the average brush size being about 1800 pixels. Includes both right and left wings.

Glowing Bugs Photoshop & GIMP Brushes

A set of Photoshop & GIMP brushes composed of various kinds of glowing bugs. They’re all flying insects, and most of them are in vector form (other than the glows around them). These are extremely high resolution, averaging about 2300 pixels in size.

This set includes some dragonflies, various bugs, lightning bugs (fireflies), moths, butterflies, and even a few pair of glowing wings on their own.

Light Beams Photoshop & GIMP Brushes

A set of Photoshop & GIMP brushes composed of various light beams and rays of light. It includes beams like those from spotlights, sunlight like you would see coming through branches, lighthouse light beams, sunburst type effects (full circles as well as half and three quarters of the burst), and even some particles to add to your beams of light to make it look like floating dust.

These are extremely high resolution, averaging about 2250 pixels in size.

Aurora Borealis Photoshop & GIMP Brushes

A set of Photoshop & GIMP brushes composed of various shapes of Aurora Borealis, also known as the “Northern Lights.” Most are about 1000 pixels high/wide or so.

These could also be used for numerous different magical effects in fantasy paintings, or even for some shapely fog banks or mist.

Includes several groupings of them, some on their own, some scattered about, and even a few “parts” of them to add as accents wherever you should choose.

Dangling Glows Photoshop & GIMP Brushes

A set of Photoshop & GIMP brushes composed of various dangling glows. I’m really not sure what else to call them! They’re like glitters/glows that have been strung on a string, and they’re dangling or draping in various ways. Curtain shapes, circles, wavy stringy dangles, all kinds of designs. Includes a few “charms” to put on the end of each of the dangling strings (heart, teardrop, butterfly, flower) as well as one of the glow shapes itself, so that you can string together some of your own shapes!
