Download the image pack (for those without Photoshop & GIMP)

Tip: Use these on their own layer, then apply an outer glow as a layer style. Use a bright, strong color to make them look like they’re glowing like in my preview image!

I downloaded this but the file wouldn’t open — it said it was damaged or something…do you have another link?

    • Stephanie says:

I just downloaded it and opened it just fine when I went to check it. Sometimes downloads can get corrupted. Try once again?

If you’re still having trouble, I can email you the file if you like.

I am still learning how to be creative and expressive through my art, however I have improved greatly in the past three to four years. You have been such an inspiration as well as the influence that fuels my passion for art. Thanks for the brushes and I hope to show you some of my work in the near future.

  18. bananna24 says:

they look awesome but i would like to say they dont seem to be working with my photoshop or showing up as the file type that it says on the installation guide thing, is this because my computer is a very early XP vertion? if you could help that would be great :D

    • Stephanie says:

It’s not showing up as either a ZIP file or an ABR file? That wouldn’t be your operating system, no. That would possibly mean you downloaded the wrong thing (I also have the image pack, which is just JPGs). If you could give me more specifics, I can try to help.

      • bananna24 says:

its strange because iv downloaded a few brush packs and they all seem to do the same thing so i dont think iv downloaded the wrong file. I put the brush files into the foldr with all the other brush files for my photoshop CS5 and they dont seem to show up when i open photoshop.

        • Stephanie says:

Are you unzipping them? They should be ABR files once they’re unzipped. If not, that’s the problem. Otherwise, you may have to restart Photoshop, if you’re installing them while it’s open.

Beyond that, there’s NO reason for them not to work. Try choosing “Load Brushes” from the menu where you’d usually select the set, then navigate to the file, and load it that way. See what it says is wrong.

  19. bananna24 says:

Yay! Thankyou its fixed now :D

There…. there are no words for such a thing……. !!!!

  22. Chezzy says:

These look awesome but every time I go to use any of the brushes from here or you’re dA account, Ps comes up with a message saying: ‘Could not use the brush tool because the pixels in a group cannot be edited without merging the group.’ Could I have some help cause I have no idea so to what I am doing wrong.

    • Stephanie says:

I have never heard of this error. They definitely work in Photoshop, though. Did you try making a new, fresh document and using them on that? If so, do you still get the same error?

I tried searching Google for this error, and all I could find was a few things where people were getting the error when using layer masks. I’m not really sure how this would apply to you, since it depends what you’re trying to use them on.

If you’re still getting the error on a new, freshly made document, I’m not sure at all how to help you, I’m sorry. Adobe should be able to, though.

Another thing to check is if other brushes can be used in the same instance. It sounds like an error with the brush tool, period, and shouldn’t have anything to do with my particular brushes. They’re made in Photoshop, FOR Photoshop… so I just don’t know. :(

Let me know if you figure it out!

    These look awesome~

I know there’s a link to download the brush pack if you don’t have photoshop or gimp, I am wondering does that include Paint tool sai or not. And if not, would it work in Photoshop elements 10? (I do realize you had said to someone elses’ posts that these brushes work with everything after cs5, I just wish to make sure it included elements as well ^__^;;; )

    • Stephanie says:

If you read the page here, it says “Photoshop 7+, Photoshop Elements 2+”, which means it works in any Photoshop after 7 (all the CS’s) AND in Photoshop Elements 2 and onward. So yep, they work. :)

Also, below all the button links there’s a link to the JPGs I used to make the brushes (the image pack) for anyone that wants to use them in yet a different program. (Yep, that would include ANY program that allows brushes)

These installed on CS3 as smooth as silk. What a wonderful thing you have made available! My professional graphic designer husband is highly impressed with the work and “neat factor” of the designs. And amused at me playing rubber-stamp-everything.
