I know it doesn’t say it, but I need to ask. I’ve been looking for a feather brush, but the program I use isn’t well known. Would these brushes possibly work for Corel Painter? I really need some and if these won’t…do you know of any that will?

    I really need help here…

  4. Stephanie says:

@Kierax: Nope, these won’t work in Corel Painter. You’re going to have a hard time finding pre-made brushes for Painter that aren’t made to be “painted” with, since that’s mostly what Painter is about (I’m also a digital artist, and use it to paint stuff all the time). Maybe they’re out there, but I don’t know of any, sorry.

However, I DO have the image pack that you could download and then look up how to make your own Painter brushes and use those JPGs from this image pack to do so. Good luck!

Hi I’m new to this. Is there an easy way to make the brush have all the colors such as in your sample photo above in Photoshop Elements, or is it only available in the one selected color unless you are using the full Photoshop? Thanks,

    • Stephanie says:

Actually, it doesn’t matter what version of Photoshop you’re using, they will ALWAYS come out in just one color per “stamp” — that’s how Photoshop brushes were made to be used. I do have a tutorial that will explain how to use multiple colors with Photoshop brushes in my tutorials library, but it was made for Photoshop users, as well. You could follow along if you understand some of the concepts behind making new layers, layer styles, etc. But if not, you may want to just find some PNGs with transparent backgrounds to use for full color images. :) (I don’t make image-based brushes like this set anymore because of the whole “one color” thing.) Good luck!
