I’d hate to be the first to complain, but in gimp they aren’t working right… they all are boxes when I use them… not flames

There’s something wrong with either the download or the way they’re loaded, then. I promise they work in Gimp. You may try downloading the image pack and loading that up.

Otherwise, I’m afraid I can’t help other than the installation instructions I give on my installation page. I’m not a GIMP user. These are Photoshop brushes first and foremost – GIMP merely added the functionality for them to work there, too, so I advertise them as such. And they DO work, when loaded properly. :)

I’m sorry I couldn’t help more, but there should be a plethora of “how to use Photoshop ABR brushes in GIMP” internet results out there. Best of luck!

Just an update for Gimp 2.8… download the image pack to a file on your desktop. Open up Gimp..open image on gimp..go to the file you just saved. Each image is a .jpg..you need to open each individual image..then “export” each image as a “.gbr” Should work then. :)

Sorry..forgot to add that you will need to export those to a file that will always contain your new brushes or to the gimp brush file itself. Also you will need to restart Gimp to get those brushes to load.

You shouldn’t need to download the image pack for these to work in GIMP. These work in GIMP as an .abr (Photoshop) file, as long as your version of GIMP is 2.2.6 or later.

But thank you for the explanation :)
